Most would go to great lengths to save as much money when trying to kit out their pride and joy. While that’s not entirely bad, it pays to know that you’ll still be getting a genuine product that will last.
Recently, counterfeit wheels have been making their way to Australia. At first glance, it looks the same as with the original wheels, but you wouldn’t want these wheels in your ride when you hit a bump.
Mercedes-Benz Australia conducted a test in which both the genuine and fake wheels were put to a pothole test. Running at an average speed of 50 km/h, the wheels were deliberately driven over a pothole in order to check its durability.
How did it turn out? Let’s just say that a ruined suspension bushing or shock absorber will be the least of your worries.
