Well, it had to happen eventually. We have officially reached the age when we can pit fast flying objects against race cars without the use of petrol.
It turns out that apart from racing in the Formula E series, Mahindra Racing’s Bruno Senna is an avid drone pilot. With this hobby of his being of peculiar interest to the folks at Formula E, they figured that it would only be appropriate to pit Senna and his drone against one of their electric racecars. Piloting the Formula E car, Scott Speed from Andretti Autosport can be seen managing the course as Senna takes his drone sky high.
Drone racing has become a sport all on its own recently, with races such as those held by the Drone Racing League (DRL) increasingly becoming more popular with drone pilots and audiences alike.
