Yup. You’ve certainly got that right. A Ferrari Enzo previously owned by Pope John Paul II is headed to the auctions.

As it turns out, RM Sotheby’s will be auctioning an array of supercars including a 400th Ferrari Enzo which was once owned by Pope John Paul II.

Intrigued so far?

Well, the 400th Enzo was donated to the late Pope John Paul II way back in 2004. It was later auctioned by RM Sotheby’s for USD 1.1 million to an unnamed American national. The auction house then gave the money to Pope Benedict XVI for humanitarian relief.

Now, the 400th Ferrari Enzo is part of 20 other supercars in RM Sotheby’s 2015 Monterey Auction which will kick off in August 13.

Other cars included in the auction are the following: a Ferrari F40 LM, two Bugatti Veyrons, a McLaren F1, among others.
