The boys from Linkin Park are not just into music it seems. Unknown to some of their fans that aside from being musically inclined, some of their members are also gifted with drawing abilities.
In a joint project entitled “Two Stages – One Passion”, Linkin Park and Mercedes-AMG revealed a unique AMG GT3 racecar which premiered at the 24 hours of Spa. The unique GT3 racecar was personally styled by members of the band and saw action on the racetrack.
“We kept circling with Mercedes and getting more involved. They used our song for a brand video last year and this year, they asked if we’d want to design a car for them. We were immediately into it,” said Dave “Phoenix” Farrell.
The band were told that they could do whatever they wanted. With the background in illustration of Joe Hahn, the band’s DJ, vocals and keyboardist Mike Shinoda, came up with the concepts, consulting their bandmates, and creating the final product.
“As an artist, being able to design a car as exquisite as theMercedes-AMG GT3 was an amazing experience. It’s also a dream come true to see it in action on the track,” said Joe Hahn.
Three of the band members, Chester Bennington, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn are big car / AMG fans and did not want to miss the opportunity to personally present the Linkin Park GT3.

The Linkin Park GT3 is a striking red-black color scheme on a silver base. The design of the race number #00 was especially written by DJ Joe Hahn. Completing it all is the band’s logo which was applied on the hood.
