In one of the weirdest accidents of recent history, a lady driving in Medina, Tennessee somehow drove her vehicle into a pole and subsequently hung her car upright dangling on the wires of the post.
The crash ended up with the late model Saturn hanging its front tire by the post’s guide lines with its driver still inside. Local firefighters worked two hours to retrieve the lady from her upright Saturn, yet investigators are still baffled as to how the vehicle ended up that way upon crashing.
Medina fire chief Jeff Rollins said the woman was able to communicate with the firefighters as the rescue was being conducted.
Eventually, the fire department used a bucket truck from Gibson Electric Membership Corporation to extract the woman from her dangling vehicle.
While the cause of the crash is still unclear, eyewitnesses say several bottles of alcohol appeared to fall out of the car as it was being removed.
