Chris Hemsworth of recent ‘Thor’ fame who has captured the hearts and maybe even knickers of women around the world takes it to the racing circuit with the upcoming film entitled Rush. Directed by two-time Academy Award winner Ron Howard who teams up with writer Peter Morgan, to  re-create the merciless 1970s rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda.

Hemsworth stars as the flamboyant playboy Englishman James Hunt, while Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) stars as the disciplined Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda. The drivers’ clashes on the Grand Prix circuit epitomized the contrast between these two extraordinary characters, a distinction reflected in their private lives.

Shot in the UK, Germany and Austria, the film is set against the sexy and glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing, portraying the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed – handsome English playboy Hunt and his methodical, brilliant opponent, Lauda.

Rush also stars Olivia Wilde and Alexandra Maria Lara.
