Ferrari did it, so did Mini, Volkswagen and Ford. Even the Batmobile got a special model. We are of course talking about LEGO kits for iconic cars. This time, Caterham joins the fray with the Seven LEGO set.
One can finally build a kit of this long-running kit car as these new models will go on sale later this year. This kit, made by Carl Greatrix, gained over 10,000 supporters for it to become part of LEGO’s official model sets. Carl’s realistic prototypes features the Caterham’s double wishbone suspension, rubber tires, a rollcage, bucket seats and many more. Greatrix was also able to capture the Caterham’s spartan interior with this prototype. He also went to great lengths to do a detailed model of the evergreen kit car’s engine.
The kit comes in two versions; One with doors and the other, without. This being a British car, you can also get it in British Racing Green.
