Making its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, the 37-foot AM37 marks Aston Martin’s first foray into the nautical world.
Being the fruit of two years of development, Aston Martin brought their innovative tech and bespoke craftsmanship with making cars onto the AM37, creating a unique powerboat that will carry the Aston Martin brand beyond the reaches of land.
Aston Martin’s EVP and Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman and his design team worked closely with naval architecht Mulder Design to ensure all the bases were covered with regards to designing the craft. Sharing their expertise and specialized skills, Quintessence Yachts helped engineer Aston Martin’s design into a properly functioning powerboat for the yachting world.
Reichman comments: “AM37 is a pure translation of the Aston Martin DNA into an entirely new maritime concept. The powerboat reflects our values in terms of power, beauty and soul. The most important attribute for Aston Martin is the design language and proportion, we have transferred this DNA into AM37. It was important to us when considering this project to make sure that the boat design was as beautiful and timeless as our cars, the AM37 is a striking boat with fantastic proportion and elegance.”
The AM37 is available in two versions, with the standard capable of doing 45 knots through a pair of 370HP Mercury Diesel Motors or a pair of 430HP Mercury Petrol Motors. The more upscale AM37S version will do 50 knots over water with a pair of 520 Mercury Petrol Motors.
